I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

CO:EG Civic w/ Type R motor, Tein coilovers, Regamaster evos

It's finally time to sell my Civic. I love this car, but I just bought a WRX so it's time to move on. Sorry I don't have any pics. Here's the long list of mods and stats:

It's a white '92 vx w/ ~145k on the chasis.
It's in REALLY good shape. The paint looks really clean minus a couple of small scratches on the front bumper from road debris.
There are no noticeable dents or door dings.
I looked around for a long time to find a chasis this clean.

The engine is a 1999 B16B w/ lsd tranny from a jdm Civic Type R. This is not a normal B16. This has more horsepower and can rev to 9000 rpm with no problems. It uses a B18 block with a different crank to make 1.6 liters. It also has the Type R valvetrain which is much better then a regular B16 or B18. This engine makes the car so fun to drive and the best part is that it's all OEM Honda so you know it's reliable.

The engine was installed by a friend of mine who's a Honda Tech at an Acura dealership (I helped a little ). We took our time to make sure that everything was done right.
It was converted to OBD1 and the ecu was reprogrammed by Katman at JHP w/ a custom program similar to the Mugen.
Right now the car has the jdm EG6 airbox on, but I also have an AEM ITR CAI that works great in the summer.
It has a jdm stainless 4-2-1 header w/ 2.5 inch collector, a carsound cat, and Apexi World Sport catback.
It also sports a Fludyne radiator w/ a Spoon cap.
I'll also include a brand new act clutch thats not installed yet.

The car has Tein Basic coilovers which ride great. The car sits pretty low, but it's not slammed (it could be though). It also has a Spoon rear strut bar.
The wheels are white 15 inch Regamaster Evos. These are forged and weigh less then 9 lbs each. Sure people have the knockoff Slipstreams, but these are the real thing.

The only other exterior items are a CF duckbill wing, spoon style mirrors and REAL Vision dark amber corners. Those might not sound like too big of a deal , but I had a hell of a time finding them.

The bad, but not that bad. The previous owner, a little old man, for some reason painted the part where the side moldings should be black. It really doesn't look that bad and I'm picky. I do however have some of the jdm thin side moldings that can be placed over the paint, then it looks completely fine. It just doesn't have that vx/cx no molding look.

The inside has Del Sol seats, Spoon Shift knob, ITR shift boot, optional audio console. Right now the rear interior is out of the car, but I was very careful about taking it out and it could easily be put back. I've had it out for a while because even the paint inside the car looks really good.

This car is in seriously good shape. I didn't half-ass anything on it and I'm not one of those people who sells there car when they start running into problems.
I'm asking $7500 for it.
If this seems like a lot consider that a B16B by itself generally goes for around $3800. I have close to $12,000 into it. This car is also much faster then a newer SI or GSR, so why not go faster for less.

Please post any questions or PM me for my phone number. Thanks for looking! :D

This car sounds pretty killer. And a fair asking price. (IMO) Got any pix? Did you find a buyer?
