im sick of people buying cheap ass ebay knock off parts and saying they are the real deal! if you want to go and spend 100 bucks on a knockoff oe ctr 'style' rear lip. good for you! but in your cheat sheet dont say 'oem civic-r rear lip' if you go out and buy some $30 'spoon style' mirrors dont fucking tell people they are legit. because they are not! it makes me fucking incredibly sick and pist to see some1 spend $30 for something that costs $300 and to boot say its legit! its not!
alot of people that rock rota wheels are not afraid to say 'rota' or 'slipstream' dont be afraid to list what you got. if your going for 'jdm on a budget' then list your 'budget' items... the sad thing is alot of the jdm trends took off like a mother fucker and if your trying to build a 'jdm show car' then why the fuck would you buy 'budget' parts? the jdm catagory at a car show is just that... japanese domestic market... that means the parts are FROM japan. not some usa stuff that someone threw a 'spoon' sticker on and sells it for 30 bucks.
the only 'legit' knock off parts i would even remotely consider would be rota wheels. they are quality and people are not afraid to say 'rota' in there cheatsheet. but when someone goes out and buys a 'jdm style mugen spoon ek9 ek4 japan rare' part on ebay and says hey look at my new ctr lip. fuck you. seriously...

Agree'd, I haven't had the chance to buy any JDM parts yet, exept my vision knock-offs, and thats what they are, knockoffs, when I list my 'mods' I usually say "Fake ass wannbee vision corners" and theres no way you can get confused with what i'm saying. When the time comes that I accually finish my spray, and get to adding shit, i'll either buy the real deal, or tell ya its fake, no need to fake it, that aint right. I feel like punching people when they go all out saying that there shit is legit and that they got 'jdm this' 'jdm that'. Faggots like that made it impossible to fucking browse ebay. I'll buy a knockoff, for example, I've had Rotas on my CRX before, but I would never claim to have spoons if someone asked, just as I would never claim that my CRX was an "SiR" or "JDM" because it had the engine from a JDM CRX SiR. I fully acknowledged what it was/is: a USDM CRX with a JDM engine and knockoff wheels.
It bugs me to no end when someone makes their exterior look "jdm" and then claims they drive a "jdm civic" or does a CTR=inspired makeover and then boasts that they drive an EK9.
These are the exact sort I was straying from when I bought my Miata.

i think i know where you are coming from but i might be wrong. i think what you are getting at is just cause itsJDM its not made in japan.......and just cause its USDM doesnt mean its made in the USA. if you're building a jdm car you need money. no if ands or buts. there is no 'jdm on a budget' the words jdm and budget shouldnt even be in the same sentence. if your building a jdm car then thats just that, buying parts from japan for your car. thats why its called... JDM. FUNNY!!
