I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Project Integra *update*

Post by miyagi » June 21, 2005

i took a stroll to the body shop today to get an EDA on my car ..... and to check out what that bitch looked like with the jdm r front ..... much to my dismay, the only thing that was on for the front end was the radiator support and the passenger side fender. However, the rest of the car was completely primered and the rest of the front end should be on today. The EDA is Friday. I'm assuming that they're gonna finish the primer today, paint tomorrow, do all the jambs/interior thursday and finish it on friday with things like putting the wing and mirrors back on, emblems, etc.

She's lookin pretty good. They did a good job shaving my side moldings from what i could tell and an excellent job fixing my rear bumper. I couldn't even tell it was damaged. I'll probably pick it up on monday, and then talk to chris about wiring up the HIDs, sidemarkers and mirrors (i STILL need a write up for the mirrors! and i'm missing half of my HID harness so i need to wire one from scratch:( .) As soon as that's done, its time for inspection and ordering my turbo manifold ..... then its all go from there .... shooting for 350whp this year to get used to the setup and driving it ..... then we'll go for more next spring :bang:

oh, and don't worry - b20rex, 40stones, dc2gsr95, myself and maybe a few others are gonna run a photoshoot as soon as it gets back. Munster - maybe all of us, you, and Jon, and whoever else can run a nice photoshoot either down here, up at j-town, or somewhere else. It'd be pretty sick to get us all together ... although, we'll just have to make sure Jon's car only shows the driverside :P

I want to see that thing done, and I want to see it boosted. Bastard, I hate you since your motor is already built.

on a serious note - that does suck about your car jon ..... i'd be PISSED beyond belief ... and i'm sure you are as well. Oh well ... Goldy will be back in her prime soon enough .... she'll just turn into a sheep. Your car still makes me drool even with the dent!

I'm not gonna lie - I'm nervous as hell to get it back. I was nervous about shaving the side moldings ... but that turned out alright, so that's one down. But there's still the fact that this place has never even SEEN a jdm front end, let alone done the conversion..... Not only that, but i have absolutely NO idea what this bitch is gonna look like galapagos green ... i've never seen anything but an element in that color ...... if it looks anything like a picture i photoshopped, i should be happy as hell ... but we'll see. I must say, the primer they used was orange and it looked kinda cool in that too... i've never seen an orange integra that wasn't draped with a sweet invader 44 body kit.

I don't own a digi cam, and it was a last minute stroll in there. I did actually mean to give them a disposable just for shits do to some progress shots, and then get a picture cd made when i developed it, but i was running late and completely forgot - plus, its too late now.

Anyway - if this thing turns out ANYTHING as expected, i'll be a happy camper

Munster - i hate you just as bad because you've already got your turbo setup .... like you said, we're both kinda in the same boat. I'm built but not boosted, and you're about boosted, but not built. Luckily, I should have enough left over to buy a manifold and that'll get me started. cheapturbo.com has some garret/tial package deals. I think their 500+ whp kit comes with a garret 24x12x3.5 intercooler, tial 44mm wastegate and BOV, and a choice of any garret t3 'r' series turbo - i'm pretty sure that includes gt30 and 35r because i don't see any non ball bearing 'r's. It costs 2100 bucks, so i might look into it to see if the price is good, and buy it down the road. My buddy says he can get discounts through garret though, so i'll see what he can do instead. Because I DO already have a tial 38mm wastegate and don't need to buy another one.... Anyway - the more i think about it, the chances of me having this done before winter are SLIM .... but i'm gonna try my damndest.

all i have to say is thank god for citifinancial and their ungodly interest rates <3

oh- off topic, but i raced darren's D15B7 dc2 tonite ..... in my old man's full sized silverado and spanked him by a truck length or so. One up for the v8 guys! One down for you uni-bumpstick fucks!

hahaha. I need to see the Dseries Teg.

Call Hybridynamics or put a list together of parts and see what they say on price too since Jay does his own piping. Get tons of options. I was looking at kits for a while then just decided screw it and went custom. At least this way I know there's nothing skimped.
