I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

how do you go about getting honda tuning to do a shoot. Do you just make a 'portfolio' or whatever and send it to them with a mod list? I'd really like to try to get in there next spring when my car's boosted and my bay's sprayed.JDM Jack wrote:I'm Taking some good pics to put together to send to honda tuning next weekend after my wheels come so you can see the car a little better. I hope Honda Tuning will want to shoot it some time this show season. Thanks for all the positive comments so far. See you guys in Pittsburg.

I was featured in HCI last oct when my car was orange. I just happended to be at the right place at the right time when Neil Tjin needed some cars to shoot outside of IAS in NJ last year. I had a good connection with the head of the NCCA juding group who helped me get a shoot so I didn't need anything just his recomendation. But now since I have been featured before I have to get a portfolio made up just like anyone would. I do know a lot of people in the industry which helps me a good deal. It all just depends if the car catches the eye of the editor. And sometimes who you know doesn't hurt either. Getting noticed by going to shows that are covered by the magazines and winning not just a best of show. I only win best JDM OEM at the shows that I go to. But that is what I have built my car for. And for a magazine like HT which is mainly into Honda/Acura JDM styled cars I have a better chance. Getting to know the poeple that run the shows and judge them gives you an extra step in contacting and getting references down the road. I hope this helps anyone who had questions. This isn't the only way to get featured but it is how I have learned from people where I am.
