I did this a while back to my EK....
what you will need :
- black spray paint
- silicone
- wash rag
- towel
- box cutter / razor blade
- 1000 grit sand paper
- oven (yes, an oven)
preheat oven to 400 degrees, disassemble your headlights using 10mm socket, place 1 headlight into oven for about 15 - 20 minutes, your gonna use your razor blade to break the silicone thats holding the plastic together, once opened, scrape all extra silicone off the headlight assembly....there are i think 2 screws holding the chrome piece inside the headlight assembly, unscrew those.....take the reflector out...be careful they will break easliy, if they do you can silicone them back once finished....clean the chrome piece w/ degreser or whatever you prefer, sand it down, then spray....i used about 3 coats, then lay silicone over both pieces and put back together....its an easy and cheap way to do this, instead of spending 200 plus dollars on headlights
I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain
