Ok I drive a 99 Honda Civic DX Hatchback (D16Y7), and just recently installed the following....
- Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket -
- Skunk 2 Intake Manifold -
- Honda Civic Type R Throttle Body -
- Generic Temporary Intake -
Now the car runs with the OE ECU, which apparently it shouldn't so well. However it throws 3 different codes. 2 of which are the primary, and secondary o2 sensors, and the obvious other one. We did change it from the 3 pronged sensor, to the 2 pronged censor.
Now in doing this I was going to run an OBD2B to OBD1 Harness as well as an OBD1 ECU to eliminate the secondary o2 sensor, and the other code. However in doing this, it just adds to the problems. It then throws a totally different code, the crank shaft sensor? Plus the other primary, and secondary o2 sensors.
Any idea on how to fix this issue?

CKP is in the distributor in obd2 and above the crank pulley on obd1. Depending upon what ecu and what harness you are running you might still have to repin that sensor according to the two ecu pinouts.
Are you referring to a 2 wire O2 sensor or did you mean a different sensor?
the obd1 ecu shouldn't even know what the secondary O2 is...I don't see how it could throw that code for a secondary.

Munster: I think what the issue is with the o2 sensors, is there wiring is some how reversed. Easy fix hopefully. Just stupid error on my part I hope.
As for 3 prong, to 2 prong I was refering to the IACV sensor. As now this single cam is running a CTR Throttle Body.
Hmm I'll have to pass on what you said, to my buddy whom deals with Hondas, and see if he thinks that's the cause as well. Thanks, if you have anymore info, let me know.

Ok. That's what I thought. 2 and 3 wire iacv makes sense.
I'm willing to bet that your pinout is wrong according to the obd1 ecu you are running. I can't remember where I ran the third iacv wire when I put my obd1 motor in. I actually think that I ran it into an empty pin.
Definitely refer to the pinout. and switch the ckp sensor wire to the correct pin.
So check these wires on the pinout:
1. iacv
2. look for an empty
3. ckp
4. and check your wiring on the O2 sensor.

If I remember right I think the third iacv wire went to an empty pin. I can't remember which was empty.
