I kinda like the IS300
The IS300 is a real comfortable car, has a good amount of potential, and looks sick.

But in all honesty, for tough why wouldn't you get an AWD car. Maybe an older impreza w/ an STI swap? Can we say sleeper? And it'd be way cheaper than an IS300 of the lot.

The only comparison I'm making is cost of either, and the fact that the Subaru (which is cheaper, even a precious 4 door) would be better suited to your "touge" driving.

I stated, I know that awd is the best way to go, but I have a sti at home I can work on, drive, and have fun with, I am interested in what people (with knowledge of the is300, idk if anyone dose but if they do) could tell me its pro's and cons.

this statement was in response to someone saying it was the poor mans lexus, tag meant price tag, I dont want a lexus cause they cost more.
I dont want a european cause I just have little attraction to them, again i say, I have driven them, and I have little chemistry with them, and yes chemistry is what I call it. Whilst the m3 is a fun and awesome car, I just don't want it.
Again, I have a awd 2004 wrx sti modified at home. I want something new. I have driven the is300 and I like its acceleration on the road, its traction control and breaking system would easily counteract minnesotas winters, but also can be disabled for track use.
Also, I don't want a sleeper, I don't want vin desiles supra, but I do want something that can be modest yet agressive. I dont feel that a older gen 2.5rs would accomplish that, unfortunatly tobytuned, your childish remarks haven't changed my opinion.
So let me refine what I asked origionally, thank you for your opinions, but from here on out if anyone can answer this question I would appreciate it.
If anyone can tell me how the lexus is300 can do as a preformance car on winding roads with repeated elevation changes, wether or not its problems can be overcome without massive work, and the overall potential of the car, I would appreciate anyones response.
I am also open to suggestions on other preformance vehicles, but as I have stated befor, I have little to no intrest in buying another subaru at this point of my life.
