I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain
I'm done with the B16, 4 cylinders dont cut it anymore

theres alot of good ones. I like the one where they bought old cars - the volvo, the audi, and the rover. And they put them through tests, and the last one was crashing them into a wall at 20 mph or something. And the volvos speedometer was broken so he ended up hitting the wall at 35 or something haha, fly right over it. Got me laughing pretty hard.
There was another one where they played darts with the cars...theres alot of funny episodes

Never knew top gear had such a global audiance!!
It is a damn good program though. Alot better than it used to be. When Clarkson left it went downhill becuase all they did was reviews of boring, common cars that you see every day. Everyone switched off so they got him back and revamped.
My favourate one is when he is supposed to review a Vauxhall Vectra but refuses to because its rubbish. If you can find it, its well worth the download.
Carzy engines have been put it unusual places before. I know Ford fitted an F1 engine into a Transit Van. Renault fitted a F1 chassis and engine in an Espace (people carrier) and recently BMW fitted the engine from thier le man racer in an X5. Its still hold the lap record for a 4x4 vehicle i think. I'll try and dig out some pic when im back at home later.
So it can be done with enough money...but i guess thats true of anything!

I saw it a few years ago at Goodward festivel of speed doing a demo run and its really sureal. Seeing a van....that sounds like an F1 car. I'll try and find some video of it.
Also saw the X5. Left 4 long tyre marks as it wheel spun off the line. Awesome considering the size of it.
Video of X5 Leman HERE
(2.23MB Real Media format .RM Not very good quality and tiny video in german but just have a listen to it!)
The X5 Le Man
"The X5 Le Mans is powered by the V12 engine from the Le Mans winner. This means that the engine of the X5 Le Mans has a power plant with 700 bhp (514 kW) and torque of 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) at 5000 rpm. The X5 Le Mans accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. Top speed is 278 km/h (173 mph). "
"..racing driver Hans-Joachim Stuck driving the X5 LeMans completed the 20.8 km northern circuit of the Nurburgring in 7.49,92 minutes"
