I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

ITR 5lug onto EK Hatch

Post by Bart-EK » July 23, 2005

Just got a call form a friend... he bought an ITR chassis for some parts (He's doing a del sol, ITR front, s2k Rear end show car and needed some spare ITR parts) and he's offering me the suspension...

now he still has to take it all off and give me a quote on the parts, but that's my problem... to buy or not to buy ;)

My question is:
What do I need?
- Front hubs including all brake parts
- Rear trailing arms including all brake parts
- BF Goodrich SS brake lines (which ones? EK Si? or ITR?)
- Master brake cilinder (EK Si or ITR?)
- Prop valve (EK Si I think)
- Brake booster (EK or ITR?)
- New EK Si hatch E-Brake cables (we had the EK4 hatch around here, so no problem)
- 5lug wheels

Am I missing anything?
I don't think so, but hell, I've never done a complete suspension/brake conversion begore (never needed to on the CRX siR ;) ) so I'm as cautious as I can possibly be :p

thanks

is your car currently equipped with ABS? if so you would want to use non ABS parts for the M/C/ Booster as they dont match up (say an ABS M/C and a non ABS booster, etc) the brake lines just get EK Si, you are right about the prop valve using one stamped with "4040"

uhm... yes ABS... and it seems that the brake booster is the same as the one found on Si's... so I only need the Master cilinder...

get one that's NOT from an ABS system you say?

no, since you have ABS already then just get the M/C for an ABS system, NON ABS M/C's dont match up with ABS boosters and vice versa
