*98 EX Clutch Replacement *

Hi, I have a brand-new clutch set sitting in my trunk and is waiting to be put into my car. It includes all things necessary for a replacement, i.e.: Pilot, Release, Pressure Plate, and ect. And I was wondering if it would just be easier to pull the motor than to try and do it otherwise? I have the means and know-how to do so but I would rather not pull it out if I didn't need to. I have been told it is easier by a few friends of mine to pull the motor and I have been told by others that it is do'able without pulling it. I don't want to try it and run into a problem while I'm under it and have to pull it anyways... So please, if anyone has any pointers or any information on past experience, let me know.

Haha, this isn't Honda-Tech, they arent going to tell you to search. You can do it just fine with out pulling your motor, you just have to work around shit. I wouldn't install your clutch till you get a new flywheel, otherwise your just gonna end up going the same process over again. Get a light weight one, you can get em like 6-7lbs for a d-series.

Damn, maybe I should give Jake a call and see what he can do for me. You know anywhere I could get one for a decent deal?

If you wanna risk it, you can get MAD deals on eBay. But otherwise i'll see what I can find on honda-tech. They got sick deals there on everything, anytime your looking for a part let me know, i'll see what I can find on h-t.

whoa, pull the engine for a clutch r&r? no way man...just jack the front of the car up as much as you can, if you dont have access to a lift.

Don't pull the motor. Jack it up far enough that when you drop the tranny you have room to slide it out from underneath to give you more room.
