I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

thats what i was referring to, they already are "raising the smog" bar or whatever. basically here is the definitave answer to this rumor, if the car meets DOT and EPA regulations then it will still be able to be imported, etc. part of the reason that skylines cost so much is they have to be retrofitted with many parts to make them legal in america, for one they need to have a speedo in MPH, they need to be OBD (for whatever year/system they should have) compliant, it must pass a california BAR inspection, both visual and tailpipe. They must submit CRASH TEST results to the DOT to prove the car is safe to be driven on the streets. just one thing to remember, they will NOT impose guidelines that cars built in 2005 are required to follow on a car built in 2000 or whatever, they go by whatever guidelines were set forth for the year vehicle
