the mph one is a lie... you don't need it. and they already are obd complaint.temp wrote:for one they need to have a speedo in MPH, they need to be OBD (for whatever year/system they should have) compliant
I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain
Just wonder anyone else heard that cail is cracking down

actually they arent, the R34 VSPEC II's that were produced in 98+ were NOT ODB2B, they remained ODB2A, meaning they need to be converted, and no, the MPH is not a lie, perhaps you should read it direct from motorex

"Why are your prices so high?
We have had to go though all of the mandatory requirements for the DOT and EPA . inluding crash testing , air bag testing , and OBD II to meet the Code of Federal Regulation requirements. Since Nissan did not perform any of these requirements , we have independently completed the research and development. The pricing reflects our cost of reseach and development.
What modifications do you perform in order for the GT-R to meet US regulations ?
In order to protect our business interests, research and developmentcosts, the answer to this question is confidential. Some of the basic items that are changed are things such as US emissions, speedometer , crash structure , lighting , US VIN , warning , and information labels. "

isn't not is a double negative, thus making them "around", either way this is the process that motorex HAD to go thru to make the vehicles legal, if you were doing it privately then it may be slightly different with the speedo issue however the ECU would need to be changed depending upon the year of the vehicleidreamidrive wrote:and btw isn't motorex not around anymore
