You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. AE86 Conversion?

Hey! I wanna go out and buy an old ass Corolla hatchback and do a JDM conversion to the AE86. I kno this will cost a bit, but how hard is it to do the conversion to RWD? Get back to me if you have any idea, thanks!

The older corolla's are rear wheel drive so just find one of those ones there like 83 to 86 hatches and i believe coupes too. Those cars are sick...slow but sick drift machines. :bang:

If you want the AE86 models. They're from years 85-87. Try finding a GT-S model or if you want get the SR5 then do a rear brake conversion, get the twin cam motor or upgrade to the 20valve. They're out there.

I was looking at an SR5 hatch 6 months ago. $700 and in good condition. I'm not sure about the prices now. I guess they're getting more expensive due to the drift explosion.

I was reading somewhere, some jap guy had one, with the 20v motor. They modded it and the redline was somewhere near 11k. I think he limited it at 9200rpm, still, it sounded fucking crazy, and he was racing it like a maniac. I'll try to find the link my buddy gave me.
