I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Any Bands Like Motion City Soundtrack?

Post by EF'nJDM » October 30, 2005

**OK, before I start off, I have to inform everyone that I JUST started listening to emo/rock music and I'm still trying to find what bands I like/don't like.**

Motion City Soundtrack and Fall Out Boy were 2 of the first bands I started listening to. I've listened to Thrice and Saosin and they're OK, but I just don't like all that screaming they do in their songs. Anyone know of any other bands like Motion City Soundtrack or fall Out Boy where there's not a lot of screaming in the songs? BTW, the screaming stuff is growing on me but for now i'm sticking to non-screaming :P

If your into fall out boy and the kinda softer stuff maybe check out A Change of Pace, Copeland, Dead Poetic, Death Cab For Cutie, Fairweather, Further Seems Forever, Gym Class Heroes, Jamison Parker, Matchbook Romance, Mest, Senses Fail, Spitalfield...

Those are some bands I can think of off hand that have the same kind of general sound/vibe as fall out boy, or bands that you may like. Most of them have no screaming at all and like maybe 2 or 3 have a little bit... Check em out and see what you think.

No problem man, figured Id throw out some of those bands. Not really my style although I'll admit I jam to a few of those bands on occasion. If you need any more bands lemme know and I'll throw some more names out. haha
