I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

my nissan project

Post by Dont Blink » December 31, 2005

well since i want a turbo daily driver but i dont want a new car payment, i decided id just build my own. and since we know a thing or 2 about nissans i also figured that would be the best choice.
so i picked up a 91 nissan, something pretty clean that could be used for a daily driver and still be used as a shop vehicial. im waiting for some piston rings to show up for a blown up DET i bought over summer and then i cant take the bottom end to the machine shop. heres some pics of the new project.

4x4 front fenders and hood. Image 3" drop(and rockin the "built" sticker) Image already got the 3" stainless exhaust on it Image after salt season i'll take care of the rust issues and hit up the paint booth. it should be a fun little project.

Nice. I was wondering how it was coming along. Pickups rule.

And you knew you weren't getting away without a Knauff comment...

yea. i got some stock over bore pistons, and arp bolts for the stock rods. im just waiting for piston rings to show up. they sent the wrong ones with the pistons. i have a sr bell houseing for the truck tranny so it bolts up to the motor with stock shifter location. hopeing to put a T28bb on it and see how the rear end and tranny hold up.

its funny he says stuff like that and makes fun of me for getting the truck in the first place. but hes the one who always borrows it to haul stuff around. im gonna follow him one time, i think he takes it to just drive around and only says he has stuff he has to pick up.
