I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Should i trade? Motor Dilema... ( boob u heard it enough)

Post by egvtec » January 06, 2006

OK so i been begging my dad for the past month to let me take the gsr motor out of the integra i have and swap in a clean low milage ls to sell the car. Yesterday he finally said ok. (His desision cause he fronted money for the car) Now here,s my next dilema. A frind of mine has a JDM type r motor that smokes from worn rings, Nothing Boob and i cant fix. He wants my GSR motor and my rota slipstreams off my car. Should I do the trade or keep the GSR. My plans were to boost the gsr on 10psi Hybrid dynamics tune or The type R motor i am getting comes with full crower valve train. I would take that to hybrid to get tuned all motor for around 200whp. What u guys think?
I am kinda an all motor guy more then I am a boost fanatic due to previous bad experiences. ehem (Boob keep quiet) But either way its a deal..

Here,s a pic of the motor longblock is all i am getting Image

I know the tranny makes the motor, but i have plans later on for that. I decided not to trade wheels. i called him and offered him My GSR plus $500 IF he doesnt bite ill be totlly happy with the c1 motor. I mean how many people get to test drive their motor in its original chassis? Thats pretty cool if u ask me. I had a GSR eg and i thought it pulled plenty hard enough with just bolt ons :D But imagine that type R motor with a good tune

Imagine that Type R motor with a good tune on a GSR tranny pulling up beside a 6th gen with a turbo GSR...hmm...
