I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I beg to differ, I think that there is in facct a jdm style but it is not japanese, rather the american interperetation of a obvious trend in the late 90's and very early 2000's that was occuring in japan, yes I agree that jdm parts makers create a vast array of bodywork and this creats completly different cars, but I think there is an overlying style to us based "jdm" tuners, you see, a lot of cars on jdm forums look similar, so I think that it is indisputably a style.

I respect your opinion that green and black does not match, but the other comments you make, for example your distaste for the spoon logo, I think are someone falling on deaf ears to a crowd who obviously tends to graviate twoards that "style".

Dont think I am pissed off or like trying to argue, I am just putting forth that It, while you will disagree with, there is an undeniable US based JDM style... that in the US there are a lot of tuners, for example myself, and most of the members of this site, who have a similar taste in parts and style* in building up a car.

I think the argument at this point is termonology, you saying that jdm has no unified style (which I agree with in a literal sense) while I say that in the US jdm is a style.

this year 2005: Image the latter is a show car but I still think it has awful taste, and tribal is stupid in tattoos and on cars.

Both very good arguments. Please move it to the bamboo pit, though. I don't want to litter this thread with any more off topic posts.

 to the discussion, though. Make a new thread. I'd like to see others' input.

Create a new thread in "bamboo fighting pit" and I can move these posts over there.
