You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. i pikce dup a y8 block today and it has a #1 rod beaitng spun in it.

the crank is scored and i was wondering if a y7 crank will work in the y8 block.
as far as i know all D series r the same. 96-00 d16's have the CKPS "crank position sensor"
on the lower timing gear. so im guess ign a y7 crank will work.

if anyone knows or has a link to where i can get more info please let me know.

mostly everyone clicks 'view new posts' so it dont really matter what forum its in, if its orange people will read it :) just give it some time and bump it every once in awhile.

i know where there is one...actually the whole engine. its in the conemaugh river down below the conemaugh borough :wink: area

They both have the same part number, so the y8 and y7 cranks must be the same.
