i got the code read and its throwing code "(17) Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit Short or open in VSS circuit, bad VSS". just wondering if i can get some advice from ya'll on fixing this prob. thanks, Jes

Check your vehicle speed sensor. Its on the top of your tanny. Check the connection for corrosion, etc. If it looks fine, grab a friends and plug it in. What car are you driving?

its a b16a2 in a 97 civic coupe ex. whats wierd about it is that my cluster is still working.

That is kinda wierd. Did you try resetting the ECU?

yup, but still check engine light. I even took off the negative on my battery, "but no cigar".
