I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Problem!! Help Please!!

Post by popeye » February 26, 2006

A buddy just bought a Del Sol w/ a turboed h22. He was driving it home. Beating it and something happened that it wouldn't go into gear. So he pulled into a rest stop and was looking at it and jammed it into 4th gear and drove the rest of the way home. Pulling out in 4th gear you don't have to ride the clutch at all. There is enough power to pull out and drive fine, but that is the only gear won't come out of it or anything. What could it be. I told him the clutch is junk, but he says no. He want to get other peoples thought before he goes and starts ordering shit. So what do you think.

Check the bracket where the cables run through and check the cables. Something could have bent or came loose.

I'd check them before I go tearing the tranny apart. Make sure everything's right.

Yea the way the guy has the bracket mounted is pretty shitty IMO, but I think he is going to do that today.
