First thing you need to do is seperate the tranny from the block by removing the starter, all plugs that are connected to the tranny, the dust guard on the bottom of the motor, and the various bolts holding the two pieces together. The bolts run both ways (some from the block to the tranny and others from the tranny to the block). The easiest way to seperate the two would be to have a rack and tranny jack, but I did it on the floor. Pick up the motor with the tranny and move it side to side to seperate it a little. Then use a large screwdriver to get the tranny off of the dowels on either side of the block. Next you need to remove the old clutch and flywheel. Using a 12mm (I think) 12 point socket in a criss-cross is the best way to relieve pressure on the springs to allow you to get the pressure plate and clutch disc off.
When removing the flywheel put some large allen wrenches through the bolt holes to the block so it doesn't move. Take these bolts out with a 12 point socket too and use a criss-cross pattern. Don't drop the flywheel on your finger like I did. It sucks.
Lay out your new clutch so you can make sure you have everything and reverse the process to install the new one. I didn't have to replace the throwout bearing, but once you have everything apart you'll see how to remove the arm.
Torque the flywheel bolts to spec.Use the clutch alignment tool to center the plate to the flywheel and hold it in place while you bolt up the pressure plate and torque the pressure plate bolts to spec.
Align the shaft by rotating the crank counterclockwise and push the tranny back onto the dowels. Put your starter and all of the plugs back on, and you're in business.I ran through this pretty quick, and I hope I didn't miss anything. Feel free to add any other tips if you want.
