I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

What the fuck? If you can't manage to out-perform ANYTHING for $5K I will gladly slit your throat. Please explain wtf an fmii is and why the fuck $5K worth of anything couldn't potentially best that.

FMII is a turbo kit by flyin miata that puts out 12 lbs of boost. I was just wondering if I could put together something for less than that and still get that kind of power for less than the kit costs.

I dont know much about Miata's but $5k seems alot for 12psi. I dont see why you wouldnt be able to put a kit together for about half that amount that would run the same or better.

if the turbo kit includes everything, and i mean everything, 5k doesn't sound that bad. turboing your car in the long run will cost you somewhere around 5k after you do everything you need to make it run correctly

Here's what the FMII comes with, also, why is anyone looking at price per boost psi? Look at price compared with CONTENT!

Anyhoo, FMII contaqins:

Recommended boost level 12 psi for stock internals
Garrett GT2560R water-cooled ball bearing turbo
0.60 A/R compressor, 0.64 A/R turbine
GT2860R and GT3071R available as upgrades
16" x 8" x 2.5" intercooler
cast iron manifold
2.5" downpipe
all pipes powdercoated black
color matched silicone hose connectors
constant torque hose clamps
Westberg boost gauge with white or black FM face and pillar mount
Cold air intake setup
FM Link replacement ECU with keypad, electronic boost control, knock sensor, and air temperature sensor included. *
4-wire Bosch O2 sensor is included with the 1990-93 kits. *
Custom FM software for Link *
550 cc injectors *
standard Mitsubishi blowoff valve
optional FM all-metal blowoff valve

* not included in kits supplied without electronics

**edit** or you could get the Greddy. It comes with a standard bearing turbo, manifold, oil lines, and a RRR. It's only 1300 bucks and will bring you to 130ish WHP. The FMII will bring you to 230ish WHP @ 12 psi and has headroom.
