my name is Rodney. i live in York Pa and am the older brother of member educationalblunder. i own a 86 crx HF (carb'd model) with a B18B1 in it. as im sure most of you know that the 1st gen crx is not very popular esecially in our area due to rust but i lucked out and got a clean arizona car that ran perfect with 117,000 miles on it. i purchased the car not even knowing if it ran and towed it home with intentions to just build a fast car which meant engine swap so it didnt even matter if it ran. when i got home i put a battery in it and it fired right up and ran perfect but it still got torn apart. i pulled out the engine, wiring harness transmission and started dropping the B18 into the 1600 pound car. i had to do a custom wiring job to run OBD1 in this car that was once carberated. then i had to make my own engine mounts from 1/4 inch steel. anyway, the car is just nasty for street use as it sits but im in the process of getting ready to boost it. lets move on to a few pic's.
engine in and doing some finishing touches getting it running. this was in july of 2004. extremely tight squeeze as intake manifold is 1/8 inch from firewall, transmission sits 1/8 inch from cooling fan frame after modifying it.
this is a pic of my crx and my brother (educationalblunder) 94 CX hatch at maryland international raceway
