I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

FS: 2003 Yamaha R1 *MINT*

Post by boostjunkie95 » April 25, 2006

Im selling my 2003 Yamaha R1, its time for something new. I've been riding rockets for the last 8 years and just not really into them anymore, gonna try out an HD or a custom and see what its like. The bike has a Two Brothers X-Metal carbon fiber exhaust, K&N filter, Power Commander 3R, carbon fiber mirrors, undertail, flush mount LED turn signals, tinted windscreen. It has 9700 miles on it, its in perfect condition, immaculate, not a mark on the bike. Its clean enough to eat off of. It runs real well, torque out the ass. I had it at the track one time last summer, best ET was a 10.5 @ 135mph, with more track time im sure a few tenths could be shaved off of that. Im asking $6800. Here are a few pics........... Thanks fellas. It would look alot better sitting in your garage next to your hatch, Sporty, and your WR munster  . I've been checking into getting a kit bike. I like the idea of having a bike that no one else would have, but the only problem with that is it probably wouldnt be finished till the end of summer with sending stuff out to get painted, powdercoated, etc., riding season would be pretty much over, not sure if I like that part. I've been looking at HD Night Train's and softail Duece's, both are real nice bikes. If I could find a super custom Sportster, i'd snatch it up. I looked at a beautiful custom sporty last August, it was on a Thursday, thought about it all day and went back to buy it the follwoing day......and the fucker was sold 10 minutes before I got there. I regret not putting cash down on it the 1st time I looked at it pretty often.

I was looking at Night Trains myself, but I think I'm sticking with the sporty. I'd like to do a 190 rear and high compression top end. Who knows, though.

I'd love to have a sport bike too, but I'll never own both at once.

You shouldn't have any problem selling that R1. Looks super clean.

A 190 out back would look really good, those pizza cutters just dont do the bike justice. Are you running the stock cams in your sporty munster?
