I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

had to sell the wideband to fund the last rebuild (was planning on buying one next week or so...) .... and didn't have the EGT hooked up because i've been planning on getting rid of it anyway .... I had an air/fuel gauge in there, but it went haywire on me a few weeks ago,and is stuck on the last bar of rich
So this next one isn't going to even start up until there's a wideband in there so i can keep in check...
the motor gets torn apart tomorrow .... me, darren and 2 buddies went down to the shop at like 9 and pushed the car back in the garage, ripped everything off and pulled the motor out and cleaned up to get ready for tomorrow ... we would have done more, but i had to pick duanne up from work at 11 and darren promised the ol' lady he'd be back at like 9:30/10.
I'll keep you guys posted

What do your datalogs show, that should tell you a little of what was going on.
Could you post your timing map?
No disrespect to Hybrid, but forged internals just don't take a shit at 350whp, not even eagle rods.

The car was tuned very conservative to due to the fact that there was a boost creep issue at top end, that is the reason the car didnt make as much power with a bigger bore than before. If you need a timing map im sure denis would supply it because as stated there was an issue so tuning was very conservative matt knows this and so does his friend from metricmotorsport who was with him when the tuning was done. So as stated before I believe there are other issues at hand here other than blaming the tuner.urbanracer2000 wrote:What do your datalogs show, that should tell you a little of what was going on.

Is it possible that the injector on no.4 is bad?
If you guys have total confidence in the tune, what do you attribute the problem to?
How does the cylinder look, detonation or lean?

my guess is 2 things injector or the fact that the car would not hold consistant boost top end so what happens when you go race on a conservative tune and knowing that the boost was not holding steady top end.
But with the compression numbers being inconsitant that has me wondering there also.
Really there are many issues at hand here but I'm just saying not to point the finger at the tuner right away before knowing all the information wich is why i said there are other issues at hand other than tuning, Sorry if I have said too much matt.

This why I suggested the datalogs a few post back, to see where boost was at in relation to everything else.so what happens when you go race on a conservative tune and knowing that the boost was not holding steady top end.
It seems as though some stuff is not to be discussed in the open.......so I'll leave it at that
Matt i know your sorta straped for cash just so you know i have some if you need it i know 9 times outta 10 you wont take it but its there if you need it....i just want to see this bitch run for more than a week
