I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

The 1.6s can take more boost but won't make the same power, the 99 BP head out-flows the previous ones.

that's what I'm saying, the 1.8 is the way to go, either full 99 or 94/99 frankenstein.

I was thinking 94-97 block and a 99-2000 head would be the best choice....

Do you know the difference in Cr between a full 99 BP and a 94/99?

In regards to any Miata's reliability, I always mention this little antidote: In the 25th hour of the 25 hours of Thunderhill, it is always a Miata parade. :)
