some v-afc help please

mods.

97 y7 block
00 y8 head "SOHC" built wiht crower stage 2 vtec cam and valvetrain
00 intake manifold

apex-i v-afc

i got it in and hooked up right.
when under throttle it pulls hard then when vtec hits it like platoues off.
how do i set my vafc fuel curve for the pulling power under vtec. usually it has good power from 1-4500k then vtec engauges then it pulls hard. well mine had awsome power then vtec engauges then it like makes a shit load of noise thats all. and for the $ into the head it should pulll hard please give me some tips or some fuel map charts/picts

other question
when u install one is the vafc your new fuel map since it bypasses the ecu and does the full curve need set. 1k - 75k

i have it set likethis 1 - 0 2k +1 3K + 3 4k + 4 then it works its way up by +2 incruvoules.
my a/f gauge reads rich under 50% or more throttle. so i guess im doing good. i donno im confused. please help.

me and fetterman messed with it today and it runs a littlebit better but some pointewrs would help
